The Independence Garden Club of Independence, Iowa became a Charter Member of the Federated Garden Clubs of Iowa, Inc. when organized on January 31,1930 and we are still going and growing strong.
Conservation Pledge: I pledge to protect and conserve the natural resources of the planet earth and promise to promote education so we may become caretakers of our air, water, forest, land and wildlife. Our meetings are usually held on the Fourth Tuesday of each Month at 11:30 AM. We listen to speakers and discuss plans to promote civic beauty and study conservation, garden design, horticulture, birds, and natural resources. Our members have many different interests related to gardening. Some like annuals, others prefer perrenials, or vegetables, or vertical gardening, while still others are interested in establishing water gardens or ponds. We encourage you to join us and we look forward to seeing you soon. Feel free to speak with any of our members, or contact our President Nancy Weber at (319) 827-1449 for more information about the Club |
